R. Gregory Tomchin was born in Bluefield, West Virginia.  He graduated from Wake Forest University with an economics degree in 1982 and from West Virginia University of Law in 1985.   He practiced in Charleston, West Virginia for two years before relocating to Charlotte in 1987.  He is a member of the West Virginia and North Carolina Bar Associations and the Mecklenburg County Bar.  He practices primarily in the areas of commercial law, commercial litigation, foreclosures, bankruptcy, residential real estate and business formation.
